Rhino Conservation

WWF-Indonesia has been an active part of the Javan Rhino conservation program in Ujung Kulon National Park since its first presence in 1962. Monitoring population by camera and video traps is one of our major activity.

Currently, more than 90 camera traps are installed and operating in the Park to monitor Javan Rhino and other species. In addition, WWF Indonesia, Park Authority and local community have planted 50 ha land in the area to provide the diversity of Javan Rhino’s fodder.
